How fees work on RequestX
Last updated: Oct 10, 2026
Payments in the app aren't switched on yet. Until they are, nothing is charged, held or released through RequestX for your job.
Once payments are on, here's what you'll pay:
Posters will always see one all-in price: You pay. RequestX will add 13% (minimum $3) on top of the job pay. Helpers will keep 100% of job pay with free standard payouts. Simple, and the same for everyone.
Example: posters will see You pay $135.60; the helper will see and get $120.
The fee
The fee is 13% of the job pay, or $3 if that's more. It's added on top, so your helper keeps 100%. No sign-up fees, no lead fees, no card surcharge. The 13% is the bigger amount once job pay passes $23.11.
- Job pay starts at $10 ($13.00 with the RequestX fee).
When posting, you'll confirm: "I understand RequestX adds 13% (minimum $3) on top of the job pay. The helper gets the job pay in full."
Example
You'll pay $113.00 — that's the price you'll see and the price you'll pay. Here's where it will go:
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| You pay (all-in) | $113.00 |
| → Job pay (your helper will get this, in full) | $100.00 |
| → RequestX fee 13% (minimum $3) | $13.00 |
Inside the fee line we'll show an estimate of the card processing cost (Stripe, ~2.9% + $0.30 — about $3.58 here). It will be part of the fee, not a second charge.
On a $10 job, the fee will be the $3.00 minimum: You pay $13.00, and your helper will get $10.00 (card processing estimate about $0.68).
Hourly and per-item prices will be all-in too, e.g. $56.50/hr incl. fee when the helper's rate is $50/hr. The $3 minimum will apply to the whole job, not to each hour or item.
Extra time or scope
Agree on a new amount in a sub-agreement on the job. You'll see the new all-in amount before you agree (e.g. +$33.90 for $30 of extra job pay). The same fee % as the job applies to the extra amount only: 13%, with no second $3 minimum.
