Some kinds of jobs aren't on RequestX. It's not about anyone who posts or helps — these jobs come with extra rules, and we'd rather say no than get them wrong. If you try to post one, you'll see it isn't available. Your account is never affected.

Errands & local delivery
Pickups, drop-offs and errands for your own things are coming soon. Until then, item pickup and drop-off jobs won't go live, including under Local assistance. When it opens, items will need to fit in a regular car — furniture and appliances go under Moving help.
House-sitting
House-sitting is coming soon. When it opens, it covers pets, plants, mail and quick check-ins on an empty home, with no overnight stays. Dog walking and pet drop-ins are available now.
Home cleaning
Home cleaning is coming soon. We're finishing a legal review of the rules for household work first.

Passenger rides
Rides for pay aren't available on RequestX yet. Driving passengers needs special state permits and insurance.
That includes airport runs, school pickups and rides to appointments. Rides would need those permits and insurance in place before they could open, so ride posts won't go live for now. We'll update this page if that changes.

Tutoring and lessons aren't available on RequestX yet. We're finishing a legal review first. Until then, these posts won't go live. We'll update this page if that changes.
Not at launch
Licensed contractor work
Handyman and home-services jobs of $1,000 or more (labor plus materials), or jobs that need a building permit, need a licensed contractor. We don't offer those at launch. Smaller repairs under $1,000 with no permit are fine. See Why can't I post a bigger repair job?
Not offered
These aren't paused — RequestX doesn't offer them.
Child sitting
Looking after children takes background checks and safeguards a neighborhood jobs app can't provide well. Kids deserve that care, so we leave child sitting to people and services set up for it.
Elder sitting and companionship
Looking after an older adult at home, or keeping someone company who can't manage on their own, is real care work that often needs a licensed home-care provider. That's not something we can offer safely.
What you can post now
Dog walking and pet drop-ins, moving help (labor only), small repairs, yard work, furniture assembly, photography, tech help and everyday local help. See What you can post.
