A few simple ways to stay safe on every job.

Meet in a sensible place
For first visits, a public or well-used building is better than an empty house. Tell someone where you are going.
No background checks yet
RequestX doesn't run ID or background checks yet. Read profiles and ask questions in the chat before you hire.
Read the profile
Look at completed jobs, thumbs up or down, and any licenses they listed. Licenses, skills and experience are what the person tells us; you can look up a license on the state website. Ask questions in the thread before you hire.
Watch for payment scams
Never share a login or verification code. RequestX will never ask you for one. Don't pay before the work starts. If someone sends you more than the agreed amount and asks for the difference back, or asks you for a refund outside the app, stop and tap Get help with this job.
In an emergency
Call 911 first. RequestX can't send help to you. Then tell us through Get help with this job.
Plans changed?
You can cancel anytime. No cancel fees apply while payments are off. Please give your helper as much notice as you can. See Cancel a job.
